The WordPress Care Plan IS for you if:

-You have a WordPress website (not wordpress.com).
-You want to keep your site backed up and updated, but you don’t know how or don’t make time to do it.
-You are worried that updates will break your site and you won’t be able to fix it.

The WordPress Care Plan is NOT for you if:

-You have a wordpress.com site or a non-WordPress website.
-You’re already backing up daily and keeping everything (WordPress core software, themes, plugins) up to date.

BONUS:

Clients who sign up for a monthly WordPress Care Plan also get a discounted rate of $60/hour on WordPress Support services.

At your request, I’ll update or add new website content/features, troubleshoot problems, improve website speed/performance, optimize content for mobile devices, or assist with domain or hosting related issues. I’ll track the minutes I spend completing your requests and bill you quarterly.

What You Get:

-Every 5 minutes: automated checks to make sure your site is up and running. If there’s a problem, I’ll get alerted and we can jump on it quickly!

-Daily: full backup of your site, including the database. If anything ever happens to your site, I can restore it using a recent backup.

-24/7: tools in place to protect and monitor the security of your site. When the hackers come knocking, I’ll do everything I can to make sure the doors stay locked!

-Every 7-10 days:

available updates completed for WordPress core software, themes, and plugins
manual check to make sure your site is up and running after updates
if your updates do cause any problems, I will restore from a backup and discuss options with you. You’ll get my discounted hourly rate on fixing the issues.

-Monthly: full backup of your site, including the database, kept off-site.

-Quarterly, I’ll check in with you via email to see if you have any concerns related to your site.

-Once you’ve been on the plan for 6 months or longer, if your site gets hacked you will receive a $300 credit toward the cost to repair.

Why do I need an ongoing plan when my web host updates my WordPress version?

Web hosting providers may or may not update your WordPress software for you (please check their policy). And, generally speaking, web hosting providers do not perform theme or plugin updates. WordPress themes and plugins are created by multiple authors, and are updated often to comply with the latest version of WordPress, or to address security issues and bugs.

With WordPress core + various theme and plugin updates happening quite frequently, sometimes conflicts will happen and your site will stop working properly. For this reason, having a trained web specialist on hand to monitor the website is necessary to carefully perform updates, rollback the site when needed, and advise about fixing any issues that crop up.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes, you can cancel any time. You are under no obligation to continue the ongoing monthly WordPress Care Plan service. We just ask you give us 10 days’ notice so we can carry out our last thorough update of the website and remove our administrator credentials.

Will you help with content and feature updates to my website?

Yes! And as a WordPress Care Plan client, you’ll enjoy a 15% discount on my normal hourly rate.
